Isaac Gad, Co-Founder and CEO, is a Graduate Gemologist who has spent over 30 years at the heart of the diamond and jewelry industry. He began his career as a loose diamond dealer, building deep expertise in gemstone grading, sourcing, and valuation before transitioning into jewelry manufacturing. Over the years, Isaac supplied engagement rings and wedding bands to major big box retailers and independent jewelers alike — developing the kind of precision, craftsmanship, and industry relationships that few can match. That lifetime of knowledge and passion is the foundation on which Slate & Tell is built.
A Personal Journey: How Family Inspired Our Jewelry Brand
I moved to New York City — the Big Apple — chasing big dreams and studied marketing and advertising at the Fashion Institute of Technology. It was during this time that I met Isaac, who was already deeply rooted in the jewelry business. We started working together and eventually launched our own personalized jewelry line. The inspiration came from having two boys of our own and wanting to create pieces that celebrate life's meaningful moments — new beginnings, the bond of family, and self-expression. Each design reflects those special connections that tell your story.
