As with any fine jewelry, care must be taken to ensure years of enjoyment. Please remember the following tips to keep you Slate & Tell Jewelry in beautiful condition.
Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals that will tarnish and weaken the metal. These include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning your Slate & Tell jewelry is very simple. We recommend a mild soapy solution of warm water and dish soap such as ivory. A soft toothbrush is perfect for cleaning chains and hard to reach crevices. Pat your jewelry dry with a soft piece of flannel.
You can also use a dry silver polishing cloth. We do not recommend any liquid silver polishes. These compounds will remove the oxidation in the lettering of the jewelry.
All Slate & Tell Stamped Lettering has been treated with oxidation. Do not scrub too hard in these areas as you will remove the treatment.
We do not recommend use of commercial jewelry cleaning devices such as an ultra-sonic, steamer, or ionic bath, or jewelry polishing wheel. This will remove the soft matt finish Slate and Tell is known for.
We always recommend having your jewelry inspected at least once a year for damage to bails and clasps. If you feel your jewelry catching, please have it inspected right away to prevent any damage or loss.

Storing Sterling Silver when done properly will ensure the life of your jewelry. The following tips will help keep tarnish at bay.
