SHIPPING

We currently offer free shipping on all U.S. orders of $250 and up. No discount code is required—the shipping fee will automatically be deducted at checkout. Priority and Rush shipping options are also available at checkout.

Please note our timelines might be extended during peak seasons.

Expedited service is available for all engagement ring orders. Availability may vary throughout the year—please email [email protected] for an exact timeline.

We want you to love your jewelry! Because most of our pieces are personalized, changes cannot be made after checkout. If you’re not completely satisfied, all orders—including personalized items—can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery at no additional cost. Items must be in their original condition, and returns or exchanges must be requested within the 30-day window.

RETURNS

Returns & Exchanges
We have a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy, even on personalized orders.

  • Orders $250 and up: Eligible for a full refund (not including shipping costs) within 30 days of receipt, with no restocking fee.
  • Orders under $250: Eligible for store credit via email within 30 days of receipt.

Once 30 days have passed from your order’s receipt date, items are no longer eligible for refunds or store credit. We do not accept any returns or exchanges after the listed return window.

How to Return Your Jewelry?

  • Request a return label:
    Email [email protected] with your order number, the email used to place the order, purchaser’s name, and reason for the return.
  • Fill out the return form:
    Complete the form at the bottom of your packing slip. If you cannot locate it, include your order number, email, purchaser's name, and whether you want a return or exchange.
  • Package securely:
    Place your item(s) in a box, original packaging, or padded envelope. Do not use paper envelopes, as we are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
  • Ship your items:
    Use the provided shipping label and drop it at the mail service or carrier location on the label.
  • To receive your return label, please visit our Help Center or email us at [email protected] with your order number, the email used at checkout, the name of the purchaser, and the reason for the return.
  • Securely package your item(s) in a box, original packaging, or a padded envelope. Do not use paper envelopes, as they tear easily, and we are not responsible for returns received without the product. Ship your item(s) using the USPS label provided at any USPS drop box or post office.
  • Please include the Return / Exchange Form (if available) with your package. If you no longer have your packing slip, include your order number and email confirmation instead.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

Bridal Warranty

Slate & Tell offers a complimentary lifetime warranty on all gold, platinum, and diamond engagement & wedding rings. This warranty covers quality issues resulting from manufacturing defects, including loose diamonds, loose prongs, and missing pavé stones.

This warranty also includes one complimentary resizing per ring (engagement and wedding rings only).

This warranty does not cover issues resulting from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, dents, misshapen bands, or cracked stones. Lost or stolen pieces are also not covered.

Any work performed on our pieces by a third party will void this warranty.

Our Lifetime Bridal Warranty Covers:

  • One-time ring resizing per ring (including custom bridal orders)
  • Tightening of stones (where applicable)
  • Manufacturing defects (within 90 days)
  • Replacement of lost stones (excluding center diamonds)
  • Functional issues with settings or craftsmanship

This Lifetime Bridal Warranty Does Not Cover:

  • Lost items or center diamond loss
  • Damage caused by accidents (e.g., bent or stretched rings)
  • Abuse, neglect, improper use, or improper storage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Unauthorized modifications or third-party repairs

Personalized & Birthstone Jewelry

All personalized, birthstone, custom, and fine jewelry items are not covered under the lifetime warranty.

These items are eligible for:

  • Returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery only

After 30 days:

  • No returns
  • No exchanges
  • No warranty coverage
  • No resizing or repair services

This includes all engraved, name, custom, and made-to-order personalized and birthstone pieces.

For bridal jewelry, please follow the steps below to initiate your claim and receive a return label:

Step 1: Contact Us

Email [email protected] and include:

  • Your order number
  • The email address used to place the order
  • The name of the purchaser

Alternatively, visit our Help Center and enter your order number and email to follow the instructions.

Step 2: Return Process

  • Do not return or ship your item without first contacting support to receive a return authorization number.
  • All warranty claims require the item to be received before a replacement is issued.
  • Once your return is processed, replacement and shipping may take 15–20 business days.

For warranty documentation, please include the following in your package:

  • Order number
  • Email used for purchase
  • Purchaser's name
  • Reason for your claim

Packaging Instructions

  • First, make sure you have received the return label from our support team
  • Securely package your item(s) in a box, original packaging, or padded envelope
  • Include all required warranty documentation

JEWELRY CARE

When you’re not wearing your jewelry, be sure to store it in the box it came in. This helps prevent scratching and maintains color for gold plated and silver pieces.

Sterling Silver jewelry is prone to tarnish that is why a non- tarnishing alloy is used during production that will delay the tarnish, but it is not a permanent application.

To avoid tarnish we recommend always removing your jewelry when applying lotions, soaps, perfumes, chemicals, etc.

Plus re-plating is covered by our Lifetime Warranty!

We have you covered with our Lifetime Warranty which includes re-plating! During production, we use a non-tarnishing alloy that will delay the tarnish but it is not a permanent application.

All sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver. The other component is primarily copper. The copper addition provides strength and durability. The downside is that copper can cause the green effect on the finger. In most cases, it is an initial reaction that does not last long and diminishes after wearing the jewelry for a while. We are happy to remake it, however, we recommend waiting about one week.

If after a week or so you do not see improvement, rest assured our jewelry is under our Lifetime Warranty which covers this issue.
